Internal Dataset
WASHpsych Nigeria dataset
UID: 18
- Description
- The importance of WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) insecurity as it relates to mental health remains understudied even though the global burden of psychosocial distress and mental disorders is increasingly recognized as an important contributor to lost productivity, disability, and death. To support exploration of WASH insecurity and psychosocial wellbeing, two datasets were engineered for the Ivory Coast and Nigeria. Data is from UNICEF's MICS5 (Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys, Round 5) dataset for Nigeria. Approximately 100 variables have been merged, including life satisfaction variables, WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) variables, and control variables (e.g., sociodemographic variables), to create this WASHpsych dataset.
